Overview
Our community Outreach services expanded quite significantly and a number of people we support needed access to a building where they could meet with peers and have access to facilities such as a kitchen, accessible bathrooms and sensory equipment. To meet the demand, we opened our first outreach base called South park in the south of Bristol in 2010. Since then we have added two more community bases, North park in 2013 and Ruthven in 2017. The three bases are fully equipped and wheel chair accessible.
We provide community outreach services across Bristol and part of south Gloucestershire. from which people can meet friends and access a wide range of community based social, leisure and learning opportunities. We believe support should be person centred and will work with you to build a timetable of activities designed around your choice and development needs. Some of our current activities include; Horse riding, swimming, cinema trips, gym, cooking, independent living skills, pub lunch, disco, service user core group and our yearly festival – SilvaFest We can support with travel and travel training. We also have access to our own accessible transport, which you can have use of if funded within your package. We believe our services should be fun, and most importantly support you to reach your full potential.
